Brief Description

The Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) was created on the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT), which aimed to address domestic violence and provide resources to victims. Through the DVSA, it was upgraded into a full agency in September 2021 with an expanded mandate to better address domestic and sexual violence in the state through prevention, education, and advocacy alongside direct services. For instance, in 2023, DSVA opened the “EKO HAVEN”, a shelter for survivors of domestic violence.
